Rodeo Success
In 1949, Tibbs won the All-Around Cowboy Championship at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). This was the first of nine All-Around Cowboy Championships that Tibbs would win during his career. He also won a record seven Saddle Bronc Riding Championships at the NFR. Tibbs' success on the rodeo circuit earned him the nickname "Mr. Rodeo."
Beyond the Rodeo
Tibbs' fame extended beyond the rodeo arena. He appeared in several movies and television shows, and he was also a successful businessman. Tibbs owned a ranch, a rodeo company, and a clothing line. He also founded the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center, which is dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of rodeo.

Casey Tibbs died in 1990 at the age of 61. He is considered one of the greatest rodeo cowboys of all time.
